Beautiful hotel! Very close to PNC Park, The Benedum Center, Heinz Hall, Morton's Steakhouse, etc. Great view of the river from our room. Cozy. Friendly staff. Our room looked like it needed vacuuming, but was great otherwise. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

The building alone was with the price of admission. I'm a fan of great architecture and this building has it. Staff was overall friendly. The room itself was standard on the plus side (it seemed a tad small for all the furnishings in it) The view from our particular room of the river, 6th Street bridge and PNC Park was great, though other rooms have lesser views. Mostly easy in and easy out on a holiday weekend. The internet was free, but slow. Liked that they offered a printer and computer in the lobby for flight check ins, a very convenient location. If you get a key to the in room mini-bar you will want to check to see that it is loaded as stated. Breakfast was not included with our room, but we did try it and it was very enjoyable.

The Renaissance Pittsburgh is always pleasant, clean, and couldn't be in a better location. It is only a few minutes' walk to the stadiums and convention center, and is close to the casino and the Strip District. The staff is very welcoming; the valet always offers a warm greeting. On our last stay we arrived early, and the hotel had been booked in full the night before, and was booked in full that night for a football game. So, our room was not immediately ready, but we were called within 15 minutes of arrival and given keys to a very clean room. The bar area is nice, as well as the lobby. We've never had any complaints and have enjoyed multiple stays here.

I never write reviews, but I have to recommend the Renaissance! The staff was ABSOLUTELY wonderful! I was traveling for business so I hardly had any down-time at the hotel... but I had a lovely, clean room with a nice bathroom. The parking garage across the street was very convenient and reasonably priced. When I checked out, I accidentally left my cell phone charger plugged into the wall and my raincoat in the closet (clearly I was in a hurry in the morning and not very careful!) I called the hotel that night and they were very nice and said someone from Housekeeping would get back to me the next day. Someone from housekeeping called me the next morning and she was so sweet. They mailed me both items for no charge (I offered to give them a credit card, but they said no.) I receive the package within 3 days of returning from my stay. They truly went above and beyond! I'd definitely recommend staying there.
